
Kim LoPiccolo
Kim LoPiccolo serves as the Director of Magnolia Dance Academy, where her extensive and unparalleled training in ballet, pointe, modern, theater, and various dance genres allows her to provide exceptional training to Long Island's dancers. Her boundless passion, positivity, and enthusiasm resonate with every member of the Magnolia family, making her an inspiring mentor and a valuable source of information.
Kim's impressive dance career includes performances with the National Dance Institute (Jacques D’Ambroise) at Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center, performed on both NBC and ABC; danced and toured with the Joyce Trisler Danscompany, performing Milton Meyers, Nuevo Tango (Alvin Ailey); The Joffery Ballet, and “Limelight” based on the life of Charlie Chaplin, with Charles McGowan (“A Chorus Line The Movie”). Kim appears in Harvey Edwards book, “The Art of Dance”, and appears in his “2003 Dance Calendar” (Pinnacle Passion); and her prints from Harvey can be seen all over the world. Kim was offered the role of “Victoria”, (the white cat), in Andrew Llyod Webber’s “Cats” and a role in “Starlight Express”; Kim has graced the stages of numerous New York City dance companies, taking on starring roles in both ballets and contemporary productions as well as making guest appearances.
Certified by Dance Masters of America in Ballet/Pointe and a member of New York Dance Masters, Chapter 26, Kim's dedication to dance education extends to her involvement with organizations like The National Dance Association, Dance Educators of America, and recognition in "Who's Who in Dance" and "National Registers Who's Who in Executives and Professionals."
Kim, a cum laude graduate of Adelphi University, also boasts an educational background from LaGuardia's High School of Music and Art and the Performing Arts, along with training at the prestigious School of American Ballet and The Eglevsky School of Ballet.
Kim's tenure at Magnolia Dance Academy brings over 25 years of experience as a studio director. She has imparted the values of proper technique to thousands of dancers, instilling a profound sense of self-confidence that accompanies them both within and beyond Magnolia Dance Academy.
